The first release of this product introduces people to the question “Could I be a living donor” and helps people understand what may be required to think about becoming a living kidney donor.
The app steps you through a series of questions and information screens and captures your responses.
Users can save a copy of their responses to their phone and use this to talk with their general practitioner or transplant coordinator.
Additional features include news-feeds that focus on donor stories and connections.
A "coming soon" feature highlights what is to come in future releases, features such as:
An expense planning and tracker with local information that helps donors tap into funding resources and assistance
More checklists, such as what tests you will need to undertake to match you as a donor and prepare you for matching to your recipient. This checklist will help you understand each test, time they take, possible costs and why they are needed. You will be able to select the test and put in when the test is scheduled which will map to your scheduler which sets reminders. After a test is completed you can record the result so that you are able to take your test data anywhere you go.
Schedule planning tool that helps you plan each step of your journey, block out test times, meetings with hospitals and other events. This can be synchronised with your local or work system.
A donor to donor community features that allow users to connect with donors in a secure and private environment so that you can ask questions, get help from those who have been through the process and load your own story for others to learn from your experience.
A support team feature that allows you to invite people to follow you in your journey so that they understand each step you take. By becoming a support team member those people will be provided prompts and messages that remind them of your tests, operation and support tips that they may be able to help you with both pre and post operation.
Plus much more - features that will be driven by the living kidney donor community
